  : The location is only 20 minutes from Amelia Island. It was close to stores and restaurants. This was the first hotel/motel in a long time that had full cable TV that worked. The parking was ample and there was room for us to park a truck and trailer all weekend.
  : I had low expectations when I booked but was limited in choices due to an event in town (which is why we were there) and it was last minute. Due to the Amelia Island car event, the rate was jacked up to $120 per night when it is typically a $79 per night room (should be more like $50 per night). The motel is extremely dated and the cleanliness and decor was less than ideal. The room was very small which made it awkward to get around with 2 people. The floors were dirty. The towels and wash cloths were very dingy in color and old. The shower curtain was ripped and was stained with blue paint. The comforter had a cigarette burn hole. The pillows were a mismatch of flat and fluffy (that went flat in minutes). The iron leaked water from the bottom all over the ironing board and my clothes. The wall AC unit never really got that cool and the fan was extremely loud for such a small space. It appears that the gentleman running the motel just may be the only housekeeper which explains the lack of cleanliness. There are a few long term rental folks living in the motel which tends to degrade the quality and value. If someone would put a little bit of money in and made a few modern updates it could actually be a nice place. If you have very low expectations, I would recommend this place for you. I would not choose to stay here again in the future unless it was the only option available.

  : The room was kept pretty clean. Check in was easy and the staff was helpful. As a side, the welcome mats outside the doors are a cute touch.
  : The room could be a little bit more updated, but that’s not a “complaint”. The beds are a little hard but were still okay. Although I would recommend better/thicker blankets for the beds. The thin quilt did not provide much warmth.
