  : PROS Anchor cottage #2 was well situated and in close proximity to key sites (walkable distance to local beach but not right on the beach, short drive to grocery store and Siesta beach). The cottage included foldable chairs for the beach and there is an outdoor area to rinse off, which was helpful.
  : CONS Despite its central location and some general requirements being covered, the cottage was ILL equipped. 1. Bath towels were small and more appropriate for children. 2. Only 2 sets of travel sized shampoo, conditioner and shower gel were provided for a 4 night stay by 8 people. This wouldn't be appropriate at a minimalist cabin for campers, let alone a beach getaway. 3. The kitchen did not have any large pots (for example, to make a pot of spaghetti), baking pans, or even salt and pepper. 4. There was no dish washing detergent or sponge. 5. The cottage comfortably sleeps 7 adults, 8 is a squeeze. Maximum number of guests should be accordingly adjusted, unless some are children. Further, only one parking spot is available per cottage and a second vehicle can be parked in tandem with the first. This can be inconvenient for large parties where two vehicles are needed. As a well travelled group who have stayed at vacation properties around the world, our expectations are fairly reasonable. This cottage did not meet minimum standards. We had to spend part of our short visit to acquire the basic items that were not provided, which has a time and monetary cost. If such basics are not to be provided, the price should be adjusted and a tip to bring your own basics noted. There were TVs in the property but cable was on parental control so half of the programming was inaccessible. The smart TV had apps such as Netflix but these could not be used with your own membership information because of the parental control. Inquiring with the management company didn’t yield fruitful results as the property owner had to be contacted and could not be reached immediately. The management company suggested using Redbox to rent a DVD. This is 2019, not 1999. Digital entertainment is the norm. Communication by management at arrival and check-in was not cordial or respectful. The aforementioned shortcomings are noted as reference for future travelers.

  : clean unit, short walk to beach, close to convenient store, restaurants, entertainment, ice cream, close to bridge to cross to mainland and low traffic
  : The exterior light by unit entrance and master bathroom shower light were not working, both bathroom exhaust fans were not working, one of two master bath outlet(s) was loose and pulling away from wall, second outlet did not work at all. Walls are thin - next door condo unit master bedroom on other side of wall - can clearly hear other guests talking.
