  : We traveled to Sanibel the last week of September (low season), it was my husband, my 1 year old son, and I. The condo looked excellent at first sight. The staff was nice, helpful, very prompt, definitely the main reason why I would recommend Sanibel Moorings: in particular the general manager very promptly helped us with the issues with had (listed below). The environment is pretty, the beach is close, and there were extra umbrellas and lounge chairs.
  : We traveled to Sanibel the last week of September (low season), it was my husband, my 1 year old son, and I. The condo looked excellent at first sight, but then we found some faults: (1) the master bedroom bed was uncomfortable and made a lot of noise so it was very difficult to rest properly; (2) there was so much hair in the guest bathroom bathtub drain that the stopper did not go down and I had to remove this somebody else's hair myself to give my son a bath that night; (3) when we arrived at 10 pm, we had to assemble the crib for my son ourselves, which it is not accettable.Another big issue was the smell of the outdoor areas: because of the time of the year, they fertilize their gorgeous plants (really beautiful garden), but the smell was so bad we could not dine in our patio for 4 days out of 7! On this matter we have been told that we paid less for the accommodation also because of the fertilization plan, but: (1) we paid $2000 that to me does not sound like a little amount of money and should not make us feel 'poor' so that it is ok to stand unpleasant odor every time we step out the condo; (2) if the fertilization plan had been made known we would have gone to a different facility; (3) it is low season so they had the chance to allow us to stay in a condo where fertilization was not happening during those 7 days we were there, but they still assigned us that condo also knowing that we had a 1 year old child with us.Finally it was advertised that we could have used the complementary beach gear until 6 pm, but that applies to high season: in September be aware that they remove umbrellas from the beach and lock them away at 4 pm. It is a Sanibel rule due to baby turtles hatching and going to the ocean at night, and if resorts do not do that they get a fine.
