  : The small home is cute and was super-clean. Kitchen furnished with the basics needed for preparing meals. Linens bright and clean. It was close to walking trail to the oceanfront.
  : The home sits on a main road, on the same street as a 24-hour drive-up access self-storage facility. Pacific City does not have police, so emergency calls would go to Tillamook County Sheriff or State Police. There is no security camera at this property. Sometime during the early morning hours (about 1am) of our first night, the front door handle was jiggled from the outside, setting off the door alarm. When we got in touch with Vacasa to ask about security footage, they immediately contacted the property "Staff"; staff stated there is no camera, but they knew the door key pad was super-sensitive, that the 'wind' or even a 'passing deer' could have touched it and made it alarm. We do not agree. Yes deer walked past the home, but they did not step on the entry step and push at the door. We tested the door key pad alarm ourselves, it had to be jiggled to go off, so we remain certain that a person came to the house and attempted entry. Without security camera there is no way to prove it. Lesson: All vacation homes should have security surveillance.
