UltraFlight OBX is located a few miles from Wright Brothers National Memorial in Kill Devil Hill’s Jockey's Ridge State Park, where Wilbur and Orville Wright made their famous first powered flight more than 100 years ago. The location holds special importance to hang gliders as it was here that Amelia Earhart made her first solo flight in 1928.
