: My wife and I stayed at the Sunrise Mist for 4 nights in late September 2021. Overall, we would consider property okay. The house was fine and well supplied and everything worked pretty well, but we had a major problem getting into the property. Problem was that there were two lock boxes (with the house key) and neither one of the lock boxes was on the front door. Instead, each one of the two lock boxes was on opposite sides of the house. We arrived at night when it was dark, approached the front door, no lock box. What now? Okay, look for another door, must be on that door—and the logic here was go towards the larger part of the wooden porch (to the right) to find another door. Great, found it, and it has a lock box on it. Using cell phone flashlight, put in the code, and code does not work! Keep trying, for about 10 minutes, no luck. Now what? Go back to rental car and check e-mails/messages from Booking.com/Vacasa to see if you have the code correct. Yep, got it correct. Go back to lock box and try similar codes; maybe a number is off; for 10 more minutes. No luck. Now what? Try to call booking.com; nope, not a good idea because property is being administered by a third party (Vacasa). Found an 800 number for Vacasa and call them for help and after a considerable wait, another 10 minutes, someone answered and could not, at first, understand why we could not get the lock box to work with the code we were given/sent. Was put on hold, for just a few minutes, and when the Vacasa help desk person came back they told me they found out though some notes that I was at the wrong lock box. The lock box I wanted was on the complete other side of the house. Walked to the other side of the house and there it was, another lock box. Try it, and it worked. Got the key out and opened the front door.
