The story of the American Dream Mall is one of resilience and transformation. Situated in East Rutherford, New Jersey, this retail and entertainment complex had quite the journey before it became the sprawling wonderland it is today. The initial idea for the mall was conceived in 2003, but due to numerous financial and developmental hurdles, it wasn't until October 25, 2019, that the mall officially opened its doors to the public.
However, the COVID-19 pandemic led to the temporary closure of the mall in March 2020, putting a halt to the American Dream. But like a phoenix rising from the ashes, the mall reopened in October 2020, bringing with it a renewed sense of hope and an array of exciting attractions.
