History:

The area was first settled in the late 1800s by a group of families from the nearby community of Eustace. By 1914, the town had grown and was renamed Mabank after a local sawmill owner’s wife. As the years went on and Cedar Creek Lake was created in 1965, Mabank experienced an influx of new residents and businesses. Today, it’s officially known as the “Home of Cedar Creek Lake.”
