  : The location is terrific; a short walk to the ferry into San Francisco, a great restaurant (not affiliated) on the ground floor level, and an easy stroll down the esplanade. The bed was very comfortable, and the balcony was really relaxing, facing away from the setting sun so you don't roast in the evening. Maid service was first rate.
  : For over $500 a night, it seems to me that it's reasonable to ask that the toilet should be separated from the bedroom by more than a cheesy two-panel louvred sliding door that latches with hardware bought off Home Depot's racks of screws and bolts and installed, from all appearances, by a ten year old boy scout. The rest of the bath is very nice, but as an old fashioned couple, my wife and I prefer not to share our toilet sounds. In addition, there was some kind of animal nest in the walls behind the room and whatever was in there woke us at 2AM most nights with a lot of scuffling sounds. When we told the staff about it, they seemed more amused than inquisitive about how to solve the issue.
