  : Breakfast was minimal—-scones and coffee—and only available until 9 AM. This was not made clear to us, either when reserving or upon check in. How hard would it be to have the coffee available throughout the day??

  : Location was great.
  : Some of the restaurant and bar staff were very rude, we were sat down and given water one night but the waitress did not show up for 20 minutes, we then left. Bartender woman was rude the first night we arrived, like we were a burden, not great, not hard to pour whiskey neat and take a cap off of a bud light.

  : Location was good and staff helpful.
  : The photos posted online made it look like a delightful well maintained ‘inn’. It’s actually more like a quite drab halfheartedly updated motel with most bedrooms looking out onto the parking lot. Details are not really taken care of and there are plenty of missed opportunities to make it better. We were kindly upgraded when our first room disappointed us so much as it faced the dumpsters and the parking lot. However, the new room, albeit in a much better location, also disappointed. No bedside table or outlet on one side even though there was room, impossible to completely block out the lights from outside because of the nature of the blinds, a sterile atmosphere without a rug or armchair or second suitcase even though there was ample room. The door to outside had a such a gap that light and inspected 24 access. I could actually push through a magazine without problem. The surface of the pool is also in bad shape. It is Santa Cruz mid-summer so inevitably expensive but if the room was less expensive we might have expected less.
