  : Booking.com didn't provide them an adequate way to describe all the possible ways to stay there, i.e., i booked a room for $46/night but it was all they could do to categorize it even though the "room" was an outdoor, unheated bus. I ended up upgrading to the green room in the main house for $90 flat which I thought was still affordable given the company of the 5 residents and a phenomenal, home cooked and home grown meal, plus warm chaga mushroom tea and great conversation!

  : The location was quiet and out off the beaten path. The property was appealing. I appreciated the rustic atmosphere and the environmentally sensitive way in which the farm seemed to operate.
  : I was greeted in a somewhat aloof and guarded manner by the owner, and I had to ask questions to get the information I needed about where to camp, the facilities, etc. He didn't seem fully alert. I was given conflicting information about which parts of the house I had access to, which led to an uncomfortable moment. The guidelines and rules should have been made clear at the beginning to avoid discomfort and awkwardness for everyone. In short, I didn't exactly feel welcome. Also, there were only a couple of parking spaces for the meadow, or so it seemed. If there was additional parking perhaps some signage would be helpful.
