  : The beautiful location.
  : That it was a B & B and we didn’t get breakfast as we anticipated. We were looking forward to that. But, it was just bad timing as our hostess wasn’t feeling well and wasn’t up to making breakfast. Hopefully if we go back again, we will get to enjoy that amenity.

  : Hostess served a tasty, copious, locally sourced breakfast echoing the culinary traditions of the region and graciously accommodated our preparation preferences based on her purchases at the local farmers market. The breakfast setting was a lovely room filled with old documents and period furnishings, just as one might imagine refined country living on a long established Kentucky farm. The hostess descends from an illustrious old family with deep roots in earlier periods of American history and is a charming interlocutor. The long drive to the handsomely renovated stone cottage was lined with redbud and walnut trees and followed a stream tucked into the undulating folds of rolling, exceptional verdant horse and cattle pastures.
  : The handsome fiber rugs are a bit hard on bare feet, and guests would welcome slippers to ease the movement from bedroom to bathroom and to sitting room. A couple of power strips would facilitate plugging in electrical devices.
