  : I requested a room with a balcony and paid extra for it through booking.com, they called me the morning of my stay to say they couldn’t accommodate and would give me a similar room without a balcony. I had no issue with that as we were only staying one night for a wedding but the AC wasn’t properly working in the room they put us in. When we returned from the wedding the room was luke warm on a very hot night, nearly 90 degrees. We called the front desk and they told us the engineer just left for the night but they could potentially move our room or bring us fans. At this time it was around midnight and after not hearing from anytime for at least 15-20 minutes we decided on a fan. It wasn’t until we asked the staff member whom brought us a fan to look at the thermostat and AC and he did help us and the room was a little cooler.Upon check out, I wanted to confirm that I wasn’t being charged for a room with a balcony considering we didn’t receive that amenity and they told me they would have to investigate because they were unaware what booking.com charges for two queens without a balcony and were unable to refund me any money at this time. They told me they would be calling me back but I haven’t heard back yet. There was also a lot of confusion based on a lack of description from the front desk staff about getting to our room located on the third floor. We were told to go out side by the pool to the third floor. To our surprise, you needed to walk through several doors to get there into a stairwell that was stifling hot and there wasn’t access to an elevator on that side of the hotel. There also weren’t many lights in our hotel room or plugs near the mirror so it made it challenging to get ready for a wedding.

  : Spacious room.
  : They put us in a room near the swimming pool machine room, which was very noisy all night long. The hotel website claims that the $25 facilities fee includes a “Way Welcome Cocktail”, but they offered us nothing but water. And it is not a boutique hotel as their website claims, far from it. In brief, it is an extremely expensive hotel for what it has to offer.

  : The price is definitely great.
  : The property is still under construction and staff is being trained so there is a lot of room for improvement. The location is not in a great area but you get what you pay for. We took taxis back and forth from the center of Newport and made it work.

  : Nothing about this hotel is likable
  : The hotel completely misrepresents itself online. There was recently a fire, and half the hotel has burnt down and under construction. On arrival, I was very confused as the "lobby" is a piece of AstroTurf and couches in the parking lot. There is only a small section of the hotel open, and no restaurant, gym or facilities. The pool bar had a small amount of pre-packaged food which did not look appetizing. The hotel room was rundown, there were stains on the carpet, and hair on the sink. The air conditioner made such a loud sound that I couldn't take a conference call in the room. I checked out immediately and found alternative accommodation.

  : The hotel is unfinished, and a construction site. The rooms that are “finished” appear rushed and missing much of the feeling of an inviting place to stay. Walls are thin and you can hear people all around you (up, down, both sides, and in hallways). Staff are ok, but clearly new to hospitality. Price is obscene for what you get, plus the location is in the middle of an industrial estate. Not great.
