  : We’ve stayed at the Mayfair House hotel twice, the rooms are very spacious and the sound insulation between rooms is good. We stayed in a room with two king size beds, perfect for families too. Just be aware, although there are balconies there isn’t a view, but all the lush greenery growing up the trellis work, makes for a peaceful place to sit. There is a nice grill restaurant downstairs, where we enjoyed our breakfast which is served until 11am everyday, and drinks at the tequila bar in the evenings. With in easy walking distance, there are so many little boutique shops and wonderful restaurants. All the staff are really friendly and helpful too. We will be back!

  : Short on staff. Hours to get any requests fulfilled. Unwilling to accomodate for dietary restrictions. Paper thin walls between rooms. Didn't clean the bathroom at all. STAY AWAY!

  : The hotel service was amazing (food service less so). Jason in particular at the front desk was attentive and helpful. The grounds of the hotel are lush with plants and you feel like you're outside (it's an open atrium so you kind of are). The room felt secluded and quiet, and it was well appointed. Overall the property and the stay was very enjoyable. I was a bit concerned about some older reviews but the property had recently undergone some renovations, which was the subject of most of the feedback.
  : I could hear the water running through the pipes at night. I'm a lighter sleeper than I used to be and didn't get the best night's sleep on the first night as a result. I was used to it the second night so it was fine. On to food service. Overall it was lacking, however I do feel it's important to note that this appears to be a Miami thing, not necessarily specific to the hotel. I guess everyone is on island time? Many of the folks who waited on us in food establishments were not friendly or particularly welcoming, and at breakfast on our last morning before departing it took FOREVER to get our check, despite telling the server when he dropped the food that he could go ahead and bring it. It took so long that we didn't have time to do all of the things we wanted to before leaving. I will say the pool servers and bartenders were great.
