Resort Condo 4 Min Walk to Folly Field Beach

  : Location was great, right next to the beach. Breakfast was not provided.
  : This condo was a nightmare. The AC did not work and it was 78 degrees all night long. On top of that, the entire place was full of mold and I had to sleep outside on the balcony to keep from getting sick. I am 8 months pregnant so that was not a comfortable night. My husband was very ill the next day from sleeping inside the condo. Fortunately we were able to book another resort. The only reason Im giving this 2 stars instead of 1 is because the host was accommodating and agreed to give us a refund.

  : Close to the pool, and ocean. Place was clean and bathroom was average but clean.
  : For the price the unit was very small, very musty! Had to use Lysol disinfectant, Febreze, and scented candle, to make it livable. Refrigerator looked terrible.

  : The property as a whole was great. The condo was not good. Needs lots of work . Most of the blinds on the glass sliding door were missing, needs paint, transition on the floor missing . It looked like a DIY nightmare. The condo has lots of potential, but I wouldnt rent it out again until it has a total overhaul. No tv in the bedroom that works and you couldnt watch it if it did from the bed . Theres a huge water mark on the ceiling. Not what I would expect from an upscale area like Hilton Head. We will not return .

  : Location was excellent. It's a short walk to the beach from this condo. There is a boardwalk so we would take our bikes down to the beach and ride there early each morning before it got too busy and the tide came in. It was a very clean complex. Security was tight and you felt safe. It's a great location for adults and families. The tennis complex was well taken care of and the tennis pro, Denny, was amazing.
  : The state of the actual accommodation was very disappointing. I had read previous reviews and had reached out to the owner to see if anything could be attended to before our arrival, which he said it couldn't. He was upfront and honest. He also sent me a wonderful list of things to do and see and recommendations of where to eat. We pretty much did everything on his list and for that we were very thankful. The biggest concerns were safety hazards. There were a couple of loose sockets and you could see sparks when you used them. The stove had 4 electric burners and not one of them were flat nor even, and it made cooking VERY dangerous. Also, there was a lamp in the bedroom that seemed very unsafe and we didn't feel comfortable using it - which made the bedroom very dark and dingy. The place was tidy upon arrival, but it just needs a really good renovation to get it looking, feeling and smelling clean again. It's obviously been many years since it had proper attention paid to it. The bedroom tv was unusable, the mattresses were not comfortable, the blinds in the living room, while not affecting our privacy, it did allow the bright light in each morning to wake my son who slept on the sofa bed. First night there, we discovered that the lock mechanism wasn't working and had to spend the first night at the beach in our room, unable to go out because we couldn't lock the door. The owner did get on it immediately and we had a locksmith out at 11:30pm at night to fix it. If you truly don't care what your sleeping/living arrangements are like and just want to be at the beach...then that's this place. I would come back to this area but not to this condo unless it had a total revamp. Buyer beware.
