  : It was an historic home.
  : I had to make my own bed. No one greeted us.The bathroom door was locked and no one would answer the calls. It was only 10 pm. I even tried their so called emergency numbers. The breakfast was not good. Definitely not suitable for children AT ALL. Parking was atrocious at night. There were no lights to guide you to the parking. Don’t waste your money.

  : The house looks great- we had a 2 bed room suite, lots of space. Location was convenient on our trip
  : One real downer was the noice from the train nearby, which woke us up 3 times during the night.The house is a nice old house but it is clear that it could also be upgraded - as the immediate surroundings.Another surprise is the fact that we did not see anyone at all during our stay. No-one to welcome us when we arrived around 8pm, no one in the morning for the self serve breakfast... no one... it leaves a strange feeling.Overall we left with a sentiment of lack of care or attention despite the quality of the lodging.

  : We loved the inn -- it is a beautiful facility. A few things we think could have been improved:- we showed up to an empty building. music was playing, lights were on, but nobody was to be found anywhere. and I mean anywhere--no staff, no guests, nothing. It seemed a little creepy, and my spouse wouldn't have stayed there on her own.- we received a text telling us to just head to our rooms and that keys would be in the doors--they were, but one of our rooms was not included in the text until we texted back for more information.- the rooms are hot. the small ceiling fans helped, but even with windows open it took a while to cool down. one of the rooms stayed warm the entire night.- breakfast was interesting -- cold waffles, hardboild eggs, GF bread, ham, cheese, and juice. it was fine, but wasn't what we were expecting.- staff. there was no staff. someone brought out more (cold?!) waffles, and we said "thank you" and barely got a nod in response--maybe she couldn't hear us because of her AirPods? this was the only staff member we saw the entire trip.The place has tons of potential, and it's close to being there. It just wasn't quite what we were expecting.

  : The rustic authenticity
  : It was a hot summer night and they offered no air conditioning or fan. Had to have the windows open and deal with the ducks and chickens screaming outside it. We were really looking forward to the much touted breakfast and when we went to eat there were 4 pieces of waffles that we had to heat in the toaster and they were very grainy with only some syrup. That's all.We never saw anyone of authority.

  : The staff was friendly and helpful. Areas to wander at the location and enjoy nature. Food was very tasty. Enjoyed the additional sitting area in the section my room was located.
  : It was probably because I didn't pay attention beforehand, but I stayed Saturday - Tuesday and Saturday was the only night dinner was available. Not a really big deal. Otherwise all was well.
