  : Every staff member I happened across was friendly, the wifi was strong enough, the place is kept clean and in good shape, and the bed was comfortable. Add to that that it's a functioning historic hotel. What's not to love?

  : First off, the staff was wonderful, from check-in to drinks to helping us with problems. This hotel has a lot of historic touches (like old woodwork and ornate brass keys), but with a lot of modern amenities (reliable wifi, dimmers). There's a take-a-book, leave-a-book library. There's complimentary breakfast items in-room. I was able to work from the room, and usually rooms with a desk cost much more. It's right off the town square and you can visit most of the town without a car.
  : The air conditioner in our room stopped working. When I asked for help, they were able to install a window unit in less than 10 minutes, and that kept our room cool for the night.

  : Jean at the front desk was very friendly and went out of her way to welcome me. She even tried to accommodate my request for a Moscow Mule. The location made it easy to walk downtown and through some residential neighborhoods.
  : Fruit Loops for continental breakfast? Really? If I was 5 years old maybe. I suggest they have an assortment in the lobby you can take to your room.

  : Loved the historical building and decor - especially appreciated the written history of the hotel which was included in our room's information binder. We were looking for something unique and safe during the Covid pandemic and this hotel was great. We stayed on a weekend and only saw one other couple the night we checked in. The location is an easy 15 minutes down country roads from the expressway. Our room was quaint and clean and had evreything we needed.
  : The continental breakfast could have been nicer. Store-bought, cheap pastries and unlabeled pop-tarts left something to be desired. The fresh fruit bowl of apples and oranges was old, past their prime. The coffee was weak.
