Candlewood Suites Fredericksburg an IHG Hotel

  : My initial interaction was the day of the reservation with one of the front desk staff in reference to an email I received 15 minutes prior to the cancellation deadline stating they weren’t able to fulfill my request for a room with two double beds. During my first call I got directed through reservations who attempted to connect me to the hotel front desk but ended up disconnecting me. When I called back, I got sent straight to the front desk staff who was anything but courteous and amiable. She was angry from the second she answered the phone with just a terrible attitude. When I asked if I could pay to upgrade to a king room I was rudely told “I don’t have that. I can’t give you something I don’t have.” Her demeanor from the second she answered the phone screamed “I don’t care if I offend you, I hate my job and customer service means nothing to me.”When we arrived, the front desk staff (young guy) was friendly but almost inaudible with his speech. The hotel itself smelled of a mix of weed, body odor and old urine. When we got into our room, the bathroom was not very clean and had gross marks all over the shower wall and ceiling. I felt like I needed a black light and a camera finder because this hotel definitely gave vibes of “you’re being watched” or “you’re leaving here with some form of parasite.”We did not end up even staying the night. We checked back out twenty minutes later and went two miles up the road to the new Hilton Home2Suites hotel. Such a better decision.

  : Rooms were a mess from the smell of the room down to the cleanness floor carpet was stains very bad even several burn marks on carpet although it was a non smoking room none of the appliances worked tub had dirty ring around it.
