  : The location was wonderful. Close to everything we wanted to do in Big Bear Lake. The property management company was wonderful in helping us navigate the issues we encountered.
  : The home had updates done and they were done poorly! Multiple times a day we were fixing things or calling for maintenance: shower heads, shower curtains, towel racks, all falling off. At one point all 3 showers upstairs were unusable. The downstairs toilet slid side to side. The beds were horribly uncomfortable and one downstairs had broken slats making noises and the mattress dipped down in one corner. The kitchen was poorly stocked; burnt up plastic utensils, scratched up pans, coffee maker with no carafe, blender with no lid, the new looking toaster oven was missing a leg. Stains on the couch, a comforter, fridge that leaked water, missing lighting fixtures, leaking washing machine, soap scum in the soap dish in the shower.... our list of issues was a full size sheet of lined paper. The worst was the smell. Sewer/rotten egg smell. Inside and outside. Inside the drains dried up and let the sewer gases into the home, outside the sewer treatment facility right next door let off odors in the warm, humid afternoons. It is hard to find a big enough home that can accommodate our unique family. Unfortunately, this wonderfully laid out home was a huge disappointment. Again, Cool Bear Cabins staff was wonderful and provided prompt response to our needs and agreed to refund part of our money. Sadly, the owner would not budge with any accommodations for terrible experience. This home might look pretty in the pictures but unless the owner can prove some attention has been given to the much overlooked details, I would find another place to stay.
