  : We did not like anything about this hotel, it was dirty, staff was very rude. The cabinet under the sink was completely molded and rotted out. The breakfast was stale and nasty there was no coffee. When we returned from our day of fun at Smith Mountain Lake With the grandchildren hoping to come back to a fresh room the bed was not made nothing was done. Staff was alerted said “that was your problem, you have to request you want your room freshened up” After about 2am the smell of narcotics started being evident in the room and it was very noisy and loud. Worst experience ever, extremely overpriced, the hotel appeared to be “a rent by the hour place?

  : Came in to room and air conditioner wasn’t on. It had been a 95 degree day. So the room was 90-100 degrees, took the air until about 5 am to actually cool the room off and I could sleep. It sucked. On top of that the stairwell that leads to room 93 and the top balcony had weeds that were hanging over it, and it was poison oak that hung out half way in to the stairwell. My traveling companion is highly allergic and didn’t really see what she was brushing into in the dark when we arrived. But we both seen it the next morning at 10 leaving.

  : The night attendant, Kevin, was good to find us a coffee pot when we arrived Friday, there was not one in our room. I found out later that all the in-room coffee was recently removed from the rooms. Not acceptable, esp. if a microwave & refrig were provided. Ait conditioner fan was noisy

  : I was very happy with the staff. They were friendly and respectful. The bed was comfortable. I slept well and didn't have any back pain so that's a plus for me. I had plenty of space to take my dog out. The room was freshly painted and had all amenities, just a bit dated.
  : I noticed that there was a hold on one night over a week before my check in date. When I sent a message, I never got a response. They did eventually remove the hold. I was very unsure of the $50 deposit that would only be refunded once the staff checked the room. Honestly, I'd never had that occur before. I took before and after pictures to ensure it was returned. Also, my friend and I didn't swim in the pool. It looked very grimmy.
