  : Nostalgia was good. The old property is kind of a mystic.
  : Staff was very limited. Room was small and reminded us of an old room that was not upgraded to current standards. I was excited to go there, I felt for the price paid it was going to be outstanding. However, we found that there were really no services available. Coffee only in the morning. No place to eat? The bar was open a few hours each day, usually when we were not there. For being in door county, I would think this hotel should be packed, however we found that the parking lot was very empty, which means there were no guests. I think it was a poor value for the money. I know it has a history, but they are running out of time!

  : Location is great. Away from all the crowds. It is a neat old lodge with some nice history. Quick drive to Baily's Harbor where you can find most anything you might need.
  : Didn't see much of the staff. Bar/restaurant was only open 3 to 6. If you needed anything after 6 you were on your own to go find it. Nice campfire area but no wood around and no one around to help with anything. Found earwigs in bathroom. Toilet was plugged so we had to use the lobby facilities because there is no staff around.

  : Well, the coffee maker and the paper cups which were not for hot drinks. No even plastic silverware, not even a spoon. Need new coffee maker, more coffee and more condiments. Only two bottles of water for four day stay. A giant hole in drive way on side of unit. Door and keys rather difficult to use. Thats all

  : There are two reason to stay here. One: there are no other vacancies in the area. Two: The location is quiet and away from the main highway.
  : This reservation was very disappointing. First, at check-in, there was no one at the desk at 3:30 pm. On the counter there was a note to take the envelope with my name on it. Inside were the room keys and a form letter describing check-in and check-out process. There was a phone number to text/call if needed. The website shows a beautiful heritage-style stone and dark wood guest lodge on spacious grounds with a golf course. There are also newer condominiums on the property with gardens and charm. Our room was substancially less charming. In fact, when we saw where our room was along a grouping of three ugly cabins we thought there was a mistake. The website was clear that our room was outdated, but not uncared for. The driveway was haphazardly placed with potholes and unclear where to park. Inside, our room was tidy, but as noted 50's style decor. I'm ok with that, but the old style construction is not appropriate for today. The windows were very large in both the living room and bedroom. At first it seemed lovely as the view looks out to the golf course. But then someone walked by and had an easy full view inside our room. Even with the blinds closed, there's a window on the front door with no covering so anyone walking by can look in the door window. The bedroom blinds had corners that we could see out through. Throughout our stay I constantly felt exposed due to the window situation and yet, because we had to keep everything closed up for privacy, there was no way to enjoy the golf course view. The room smelled old, not musty, just old. The water was a big problem too. There was a very strong iron smell to the water. I could barely stand to shower in the water, let alone brush my teeth. I had to use bottled water for that. I don't know where the hot water heater was located, but it took a full 5 minutes to get hot water. We had a reservation for three people, 2 adults, 1 teenager, but the room was only set up for 2 people.

  : could not reach anybody who worked there. they won’t answer the phone, have limited and random “office hours” which they weren’t at anyway. they ask to be contacted via email but that was impossible because their wifi wasn’t connected to the internet and the area has poor cellular service. we had reservations for three but there was no linen for the third bed or third towel. the narrow access road for all 12 units also served as parking and a large family group of rude drunks renting several units on one end routinely left their cars blocking the drive.
