: Absolutely the worst experience ever. The only salvageable part was the lady who worked at the front desk- she was nice. I quickly realized none of the problems we had were her fault, it was the hotel and its policies.
: Made our mother pay a $100 cash deposit due to her ID showing she was a resident of the town. (we were staying at hotel because we were moving). We asked why this was necessary, and we were informed that it was due to the large amount of homeless people who vandalize the rooms. This made us instantly uncomfortable, but we had no choice but to stay here as we had already booked a separate room that was non-refundable. We were also informed that one side was for people living in the hotel, and the other was for guests. Upon walking to the room, we were stared at by all of the "residents" who sat on the balcony in their office chairs yelling and smoking cigarettes and leaving trash everywhere. The room we went into reeked of smoke, and was musty and gross. The AC had not been on. We turned it on but it felt like it barely did anything. I counted at least 20 dead bugs. The bathroom had mold on it. the toilet had urine and pubic hairs on it. There were no chairs, probably do to the vandalism they routinely experienced. We asked to switch rooms, and luckily we were able to. However, the room we switched to was only marginally better. The AC had at least been on and there were fewer dead bugs. Still disgusting. Still reeked of cigarette smoke. Bed insanely uncomfortable. I got no sleep. Awoke to people screaming outside our room. Absolutely awful.
